Oh, yes, Carol, I meant to ask you if I understood it correctly - did you say you were an amateur ham radio operator? Is that right? I think you mentioned something like that on the Ground Zero blog.

Hi again, Carol! I don't know why I am posting right over my first comment - must be that complicated infotech stuff. But, no i wasn't able to find the movies with you that I'd like to see again - I've tried Amazon and other sites. Will try to see if I can dig something up in Russia.
The movies that you made and the persona you've projected from your characters, probably, don't completely belong to you anymore. I am just trying to say that we still love those movies and want to see them, even if you think them silly! I somewhat understand though how you would not like to watch yourself cry. I would be like that, too.

You won't believe it, Carol, but I just now found your replies to my posts! By accident! That just proves to show you how "technologically advanced I am". I browsed and browsed for a month, trying to see if you'd answered and couldn't find anything - I sure am one great web navigator! Leave it up to me to discover Atlantis. This is s-o-o funny! Well, I really thought you didn't find my comments worthy of attention - I am sorry to consider this.
I don't know much about raw foods, but am going to buy your book on that. I don't think I'll be able to stick to it full time - love the steak and baked potatoe too much. And this winter I am going to start practicing Yoga - your comments about it were the last inspirational point for me.
I am having a most wonderful time of my life in the US, for sure. I have realized a lot of goals that were important to me. I was an English teacher in Russia, but when I first came to America, I still had a fairly noticeable accent. I've been teased about it so much that I decided to become a Speech Language Pathologist, and did! I am very happy to be in this totally amazing and very diverse field.
I hope you did not get scorched "by the sun" this year in Russia, if you were there this past summer. My Mom tells me it was out of the world anomalous.
Hope to hear back from you,
Best wishes,
Svetlana.

Hi again, Svetlana,
Ah, Yes.
I did a lot of movies.....
I have so many interests now that revolve around health
and paying it forward to other people to help their
health issues, that i find movies can just interfere.
Also, i mean, i still would do a movie if the right one
came along....but i want a life, now, too!
Movies took up all my time and broke up my
relationships- men do not understand their women
going away for months at a time.
So my life changed but MOSTLY my Priorities changed, too!
As for the Russians-i find them Fascinating! Just so
amazing!
I hope you are having a most wonderful time in the US,
but I do hope you get back to St Pete's just to take in
the beauty!
best-

Svetlana,
I am not sure....actually. I am sorry. I do not watch my
own films because i find it hard to act afterwards and not
think how silly i look when i cry! LOL!
So i have not searched to find any.
But, I would try to websearch:
Try Carolaltmovies.com
or Amazon.com
or type in "old films" or "Carol Alt films avialable"
does any of this help?

Thank you, Carol, for reflecting warmly about my hometown Saint-Petersburg. I live in the US now and almost never get to go back. It's interesting to see your point of view on Russia and their people. To truly be able to judge/talk about the Russians, one does have to spend time there. I followed your career from the Italian movies - boy, you sure can speak good Italian. And, last I remember in the 90-s - they had a lot of billboards in English. I wonder where it all is gone...
